Re: NFL News
Tom Brady spotted working out with former WR T.O. (Terrell Owens) at the USC campus earlier this week. A Possible signing for the pats? Thoughts...

Re: NFL News
I think T.O. is a perfect waste of good money and time. Pats could spend there money on a younger, fresher WR and have them for longer than T.O.
Re: NFL News
Possible but still an open option. Tom Brady has a knack for making older veteran receivers look good. I'd say for a low price, one year deal couldn't hurt. There prolly not looking to go for T.O. Just keeping options open.

Reversing the Curse
by: KNL
Megatron, Drew Brees, and Troy Polamalu. These are just a few of the recent NFL players to grace the cover of the Madden NFL game franchise. Of course, this is a high honor; though history has a different story to tell.
While we're in limbo awaiting the next Madden cover player to be revealed, let's revisit history to see how the Madden Curse came to be.
The Madden franchise began featuring NFL players on the cover starting in 1999. Since then, 14 of the players that have graced the cover have had seasons plagued with subpar performances or injuries. John Madden himself doesn't believe in the curse and EA sports (the publisher of the game) has never acknowledged the validity this so called "Madden Curse." This curse just simply comes from the facts of how the following seasons have been for these players once they have graced the cover. Can't argue with facts now, can we?
Now even though the Madden game franchise has been around for 25 years, John Madden himself was the cover star until 1999. The curse started with the first featured player, Garrison Heart, of the San Francisco 49ers. An excellent player, his record breaking and skill of the game won him a lot of attention and the first cover. After helping his team into the playoffs, he suffered a broken ankle injury. This injury would cost him two seasons and he would never play the game of football the same again. This would just be a domino effect into the following seasons for the future cover stars. Can this curse ever be broken?
Recent news may have some fans breathing a sigh of relief. According to gossip website, TMZ.com, they have posted a video of a interview with John Madden about the curse of the cover. When asked if he thought the curse had been broken, his reply was "With the season that [Calvin] Johnson had and didnt have any injuries, I think it has been broken." When you look at Johnson's 2012 season this is how it looks:
- 1st in NFL in REC (122)
- 1st in NFL in YDS (1,964)
- 1st in NFL in REC YPG (122.8 )
So there you have it, folks. The numbers don't lie. With another great season under his belt and no injuries, it sounds as if Megatron himself has broken this Madden curse. Do you believe this curse has been broken for good? Let's hear your thoughts on whether this year's cover star can breathe easy, or fear the curse.

Re: NFL News
I think our unnatural megatron broke the curse last year. Football is a game of many injuries I think the "curse" was coincidence if anything, there's been more than megatron make it through without injuries that none seem to notice, but I think megatron hushed the "curse" crowd with his record breaking season. Although CJ is very Unnatural! PS: nice post!

1) Seahawks release WR Early Doucet after just signing him last week. This is a strange story.
2) Free-agent wide receiver Donald Jones announced Wednesday on Twitter that he will retire because of a pre-existing kidney disease.
